Davidson Contemporary had a wonderfully successful PULSE New York. As always, the PULSE crew was well-organized and impressively upbeat, and the new location at the Metropolitan Pavilion was fantastic. The Davidson Contemporary booth included work from Sarah Hardesty, Sam Messenger, Megan Olson, Kevin Osmond, David Ryan, and Matthew Watson and was popular amongst collectors and casual visitors alike – including some art bloggers. ArtFagCity dug our hues, while Matthew Watson and Sarah Hardesty caught the eye of Arrested Motion, who posted images of Watson’s Mike with Flowers and Hardesty’s Fight or Flight 2.
Thanks to Paddy Johnson at AFC, and to the whole Arrested Motion crew.
Also, Sam Messenger’s six Veil drawings were a show-stopper and one of them, along with Kevin Osmond’s Constellation #4, were sold to the Museum of Art at RISD. Look out for a Sam Messenger solo show at Davidson Contemporary within the year.
